Have we all have heard about the beneficial effects of zinc on the common
cold?
A study published in the Canadian Medical Associates Journal shows
oral zinc can lessen the effects of the common cold by from one to six days. However, many
people experienced nausea. Moreover, the zinc did not lessen the severity of the
coughing, sneezing and congestion. The study found that the best preparation of zinc was zinc
acetate.
