NOVEL BREAST IMPLANT ON THE HORIZON

Researchers at the University of Akron, led by Dr. Judit Puskas have developed a breast implant made from an impermeable polymer material.

This material may be embedded with medicines to even fight breast cancer.

Further studies are being done to define the drug delivery technology. They hope to have a prototype implant ready for clinical trials in 1-2 years.

Plastic surgeons in Fort Myers, Florida will be looking forward to their future announcements.
