Cat lovers beware.

There are millions of dog and cat lovers in our world. Now, however, women who have a pet cat have to be on alert. 


Women infected with Toxoplasma gondii – a parasite found in cat litter – had a 1/12 times greater risk of suicide. 


The more T. gondii in their bodies, the greater the risk was. The parasite has been linked to schizophrenia in humans.


This should be a matter of concern for all doctors who treat women.
